Another view of "B"

This from the charming 5-1/2 year old Son.
He's started kindy this year, this is his first full week.
He's so proud that he's learning to read.
Each week, they get two sight words for reading, and they work on a letter as well, going over the phonics of each one.
*
Today, I hear they worked with the letter "B".
I heard him chanting to himself as he did his chores this afternoon, "bug, boat, beach, ball, bottle, boom......:
and at 'boom' he stopped, and was very quiet for several moments.
"Hey, Mom"
what's up buddy?
"I know what letter boobie starts with!"
really?
"yeah! it starts with"B"
yes, Son, it sure does.
"know what else mama?"
what else ?
"When you push a "B" down it kinda looks like boobies too!"
*
oh my.

bad, bad timing.

This blog has become something of a fish tank diary lately.
Yesterday morning I turned on the tank light, and noticed that our dear plecostomous was not looking very happy. I did a quick survey of the tank, and noticed there wasn't an overabundance of algae in there. Not a happy place for an algae -eating fish.
*
While running errand throughout the day, I stopped at the pet store, and bought some "Pleco Passion". Its a dehydrated seaweed mix just for our hungry lil pleccy. (I was told the frogs would enjoy it as well)
*
When I got home, said pleccy was still very slow and mopey.
So I fastened the seaweed to a rock as directed, and dropped it in there.
There ya go buddy, bon-appetite.
*
After I had picked up the children from school, I checked the tank again.
Pleccy was just floating on the bottom.
Belly - up.
I bought it food, and it died before it got to eat.
*
So it would seem that we are not doing well with this type of fish.
We'll try again, as Son was upset about this one.
We currently wait patiently for scum to grow in the tank again.
